Please Don't Eat in Your Car

Girlfriend, please don't eat in your car.Why would I say that?? You know why, it is total Binge Zone!
You left the house in a hurry, and you are now entering into the "starved gray area" where justification rules. "I can have a double caramel latté or that cappuccino from the Quick Stop, because I didn't have any breakfast."
I have never met a drive up window that has avocado and spinach as the star on their menu. You are looking at tacos, chicken nugs, cheese burgers and copping fries out of your kid's happy meal.
So, set yourself up to win.
HERE ARE 3 TIPS TO KEEP YOU ON TRACK
1. Make sure you had a snack at home, maybe a piece of Ezekiel sprouted grain toast with almond butter,( my favorite is the cinnamon raisin),before you get in the car and start those hectic errands. Never ever go out of the house hungry. When you do that, you will just set yourself up for failure, instant gratification, and bad choice behaviors. Another problem you will run into is cravings buying at the market. Everything sounds good when you are hungry, you will start with sweet treats and work yourself then into salty items, with lots of junk in between. All of a sudden bags of chocolate bars, chips, sodas, and other splurges of the moment items will end up in your shopping basket.
2. Arm yourself with a large glass of pure clean water, (I love to drink mine with Super Greens added), to sip though out your drive. There are a number of times when you think you are hungry, but actually your body is dehydrating and is craving water. Because you planned ahead, you will not be thirsty, and you are hydrating your body instead of drinking something that will sugar you up, cause cravings, and crash you later.
3. Have cut up veggies in your fridge to grab on the way out the door, like carrots, red peppers, cucumbers or blueberries. Or have a little of all of them. You can mix celery with apple slices, red peppers and jicama, strawberries and almonds. Between sipping super greens and the fruit, nuts and veggie snacks, you can cruise right past the taco joint.
Remember the person you are sabotaging is you and your success, when you are eating fast food. Look ahead and plan ahead to be the very happy, strong, confident person You, my dear, can be.
